Scent of Spring~

As I came downstairs yesterday morning there was the slightest sweet scent in the air.
I knew immediately~
Spring was really on her way~
The morning's light was different, the way the sun looks when there is a change in the season.
I opened my jacket on my morning walk and the breeze coming off the lake was refreshing, not at all cold.

And I know, that even if we were to get a lingering snowfall, it won't last.
Yes~ those first precious moments of spring arrived here Monday morning.

  1. Oh! How I want to believe you, we NEED Spring to arrive, but this morning it was still -2 here and my car had to be de-iced for the school run!
Thank you for visiting my blog and your lovely comments, I'm so glad to have discovered yours, beautiful. Where can I see some of your illustrations?

  2. Yes! I know exactly what you mean. I am in need of some natural vitamin D. I have always liked March knowing that the "lion" will always, sooner hopefully rather than later, be "lamb". Thank you so very much for visiting my blog - I am grateful. I feel like you are a friend...who I have have not met yet.

  4. I love the way "A Blushing Hostess" just gives them a "shake" to freshen up a room with such a heady aroma!!

  6. As I came to my deck door this morning to let Miss Halle out I was greeted by at least 3 inches of new snow and more falling.... I am so looking forward to Springtime....but meanwhile it is back to the shovel....

At the moment I have no trip planned to NJ now that mom is home. My sister, Susan, is "on duty". She was to have come to Anchorage for all the Iditarod festivities but mom's return home took priority. I told Susan next year she must come and we will run with the reindeer!! Perhaps you wish to join us?? xoxoxo Time for another cup of coffee.
