The California strawberries are so plentiful right now that I can't help but pick up a box each time I go to the market!
Lately I've been having a strawberry smoothie for breakfast.
***
Into the blender:
A handful of washed strawberries
6 oz. of unsweetened almond milk
A drizzle of vanilla
Blend for 30 seconds.
Delicious and Filling

My Dad who is 85 thinks he has to have 2 quarts available at all time. We get them for him and then he is happy. Great drink recipe!
ReplyDeleteI have all the ingredients for this - and a new blender from my b-day to use to whip a glass for me!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day~ I hope your weekend is calm and reflective.

De-lish!
ReplyDeleteHmmm - I LOVE smoothies. I add a dash of spirulina powder too but it takes away that lovely pink colour unfortunately ;-)
ReplyDeleteDebra, throw in a tsp of balsamic vinegar! you will want to die. AMAZING. I am a total strawberry whore, ever since moving to central california, I seriously go through a box a week. I had to post because I noticed your fleur-de-lis glasses...my mom is obsessed with fleur-de-lis designs and has those exact glasses. :)
ReplyDeletemmmmmmmm...... I love strawberries. I am a July baby. When my mother was pregnant with me she ate so many strawberries that to this day, 57 years later, she will not eat them. I had a "strawberry" birthmark which went away & I love strawberries too.
ReplyDeleteSmoothies are the best and I like to toss a banana in as well! Beautifull glassware!
