~Nearby Garden~
On my morning walk with my two special pals I took the above photo.
Spring has arrived early in Maine, but I know we are still lagging behind some of you.
Our gardens are full of early spring bulbs and herbs. Still these gardens are showing us the very first stages of their beauty.

There is a gentleman in our area that carves these mushrooms out of the remains of felled trees.

lovely garden and spring-like mood!
ReplyDeleteSpring is my favorite, so the more I see of it, the happier I am! By the way, I love those mushrooms. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have been going to our high school track with my daughter as she is training to run the mile and wants to have a record winning time!
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to see how many people are out! Yesterday was just glorious, I walked and felt so giddy about spring and all the possibilities of warm weather and walking daily.

A morning walk like that sounds ideal! The mushrooms are pretty awesome too!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful walk to see all the gardens in the neighborhood and the double bonus to have two great friends to walk with. Oh Deb I love how the gent carves the mushrooms out of fallen branches- they are so cool!! No walk outside for me today- looks like rain so down to the treadmill. xo
ReplyDeleteI take it that the gentleman who carves those mushrooms is a Jewish gentleman.
ReplyDeleteNice morning walk the weather looks perfect! I love the wooden mushrooms so cool! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThis brings a smile to my face Deb...love seeing the photos of your walk. Hope you are enjoying your week :)
ReplyDeleteJeanne xx
Loving those carved mushrooms! What a delight to come upon them during your walks! The first farmer's market of the season will be this coming Saturday May 8, and the plant starts will be available. The snow has barely melted here but the days have been so balmy. We have been able to sit on our deck in the evening, we have the western sun. It has been heavenly on my chilled bones... xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty place to walk in. And I adore those mushrooms.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the mushrooms!
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for the mighty mushrooms!
ReplyDeletewe are still soggy here in seattle... waiting for some big sunshine... will be back east next week... cant wait... xx pam
ReplyDeleteThanks for "walking" by my place today! To answer your question about the dog in the photograph with my husband and me... that is Zubin, our black Chow Chow, and the dog we had before Edward. He was named after conductor Zubin Mehta, because he looked just like him!
ReplyDeleteLove those mushrooms and the light strappy tops are making me jealous. Spring has disappeared and winter has come back to our garden. I keep trying to tell him he's in the wrong hemisphere but to no avail. Oh well ... surely the sun will come out tomorrow ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've seen your lovely face on comments left for Lecia at Flickr. This is the first time to your blog. It's wonderful. Your lifescape from April 14 is amazing. Now, I am going to explore your blog a bit more. Great view!
ReplyDeleteWon't you please post more info about the mushroom man. They're so very amazing. I know 2 mushroom sculpture collectors. Happy spring. Jodi
