Before that first frost, folks around here are picking and giving away their abundance of sweet, grape tomatoes. I love them! I love them in salads and roasted.
I simply rinse and dry them- scatter them on a cookie sheet and drizzle on some Rosemary infused olive oil, add a little sea salt and ground pepper.
I set the oven at 425 degrees and forget about them for about an hour.
Of course the last time I did this I set off this thing. Which sends my little Pickle-Pup into a frenzy!
I got wise and removed the smoke detector and set it in another room.
So, if your neighbors have an over abundance of these beauties, or you have them in your own garden-try this if you haven't already. I eat most of them right out of the oven.
If you have some left they are great on salads, in quiche and in soups.
I'm off to roast two cookies sheets full.

I do love the fall harvest.
They are fabulous roasted. The juice justs bursts in the mouth, and the flavor...oh so good!
ReplyDeleteI love roasted tomatoes....enjoy and open a window for the smoke!
ReplyDeleteThis is a healthy reminder for me to check all the smoke detectors.
ReplyDeleteI love just about anything roasted, but perish the thought of starting a fire and not having the right warning signs in check.
You are a dear!

Hi Debra,
ReplyDeleteGood Idea! It would be loads of fun for some of us illustrators and artists to post our work spaces. Alway fun to peek at other peoples workspaces. Love those artist who open up their ateliers for public once a year. Here we have a whole weekend called The Art Route, it's a bicycle ride along all sorts of artist who open their atelier for those two days.
Have a lovely day.
