What will it be?

~Chilled Pinot Grigio~

When my husband gets home from work we love to chat about our day over a beverage. My cocktail of choice is a glass of nicely chilled Pinot Grigio.

~Fresh Strawberry Daiquiri~

But last Sunday, he made these... Fresh strawberry daiquiris. I had frozen lots of whole strawberries last June and there were a few bags left. The daiquiris were cold, refreshing, not too sweet and just right for a quiet Sunday evening.

Do you have a special beverage~ virgin or otherwise that you enjoy at the end of a busy day or on quiet Sunday evening?

  1. Sometimes, I just like that first sip of cool water, infused with lemon and thyme, or a sprig of mint....and then when I feel my thirst has been quenched, I might like something a bit stronger. Rose now is nice...or a glass of bubbly....

  2. Sometimes on a Sunday afternoon, I like a glass of Glenora Brut Champagne (comes from Glenora winery - Seneca Lake, NY State). It's become a special treat when we do this.

  3. MOTH & I have taken to the sherry bottle after many years of it being considered on the outer. Spanish Oloroso of course, & served in our favourite little antique glasses. Very civilized as best it can be all things considered!

  4. My daily for the summer is a nice tall cold glass of ice tea. When I do have something a tad stronger I enjoy wine, bubbly, and a COLD glass of beer (from Wisconsin) xoxo

  5. I don't really have a favorite drink to sit down and relax with. Thanks for the reminder that I need to stop and just take time to enjoy a beverage with my favorite person.

  6. I really want a strawberry daquiri! Wait, it's only 6:30am...perhaps later ;)
I love Ruby beer. It is a flavored rasberry beer made here in Portland by the company my husband works for. Delicious!

  7. In the evenings I enjoy a glass of really chilled Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio in an oversized goblet...and of course on Thursdays the champagne... if we are splurging it is Taittingers, if just a "regular" champagne we have discovered we enjoy Gruet Brut from a New Mexico winery! Lovely!!

Many delightful suggestions, Commenters!! Too bad we cannot all get together!

  9. B and I love to have Margaritas on Fridays. Instead of paying for a sugary drink at a bar, we get just what we want at home. I do love white wie as well with some great seafood pasta.

  10. For some reason I find lime infused sparkling water served on ice and in a wine glass as enjoyable and decadent in the evening as a glass of champagne.

When I do want something a bit stronger, lately I've been hooked on Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile.

It is fun to hear what others enjoy. Thanks for this post.
