Yes, my holiday this year was filled with family, wishing people Happy Easter on the telephone, and thinking of loved ones long gone. It was the kind of day I wanted it to be, and it worked out. Now, today, I need to work out!
Getting a good start, or a re-entry into life today after a week off, and a wonderful day of Easter feasting and friends. We had a lovely sunny day and the children ran hither while the adults chatted about life and love. pve
Love that photo! No matter how old I am Easter always makes me miss my sweet mother but spending quality time with family and friends, and watching kids in their pastel-best search for hidden egg surprises, always brings a big smile to my face.
Deb, your photo is beautiful! Sounds like your day was a golorious one!!
Ours was nice and beautiful weather. I'm glad the rain held off, today we are not so lucky, but that is fine with me. The rain will keep me focus to work and clean today. Enjoy your day my friend! xoxo
It WAS a fun holiday. For the first time in many years I was with my family and my mother had 4 of her 6 children at the table! Since I live in Alaska and they live in Jersey it is a rare thing to have a holiday all together. I It was also fun to jointly put together the Easter feast and clean up. It sort of reminded me of that movie from the 80's which stars John Hurt (can't remember the name of it!!) when this group of friends gets together after a long while.... xoxo
I started this blog to share my illustrations and my love of home. It soon became the place where I could document my favorite things. I love home, family, cooking... but most of all I love a day when I sit at my drawing table for hours and hours. Thank you for visiting and your comments, each one is greatly appreciated.
