Thoughts and prayers are going out to the family who lost their little girl on Sunday afternoon.
Although the remnants of hurricane Bill gave some of us some big, gorgeous waves, the ocean is powerful and can be very dangerous. In Maine's Acadia National park, a seven year old girl was swept away from a look-out along with several other on-lookers. They were watching the show that "Bill" had provided. While the others were safely rescued, this little girl
could not be resuscitated.

Beautiful pictures with such sadness. My prayers are with the family of the little angel.
ReplyDeleteNature is stunning and powerful. Life is too.
ReplyDeleteMy heart aches for this family. I immediately wondered if you were nearby when I read the news of this young life.

My prayers too are with the the family of this sweet baby girl. Patricia is so right the beauty and calmness we see in nature also has a powerful side.
ReplyDeleteHave a golden day my friend! xoxo
The shots are gorgeous, and the story is horrifying.
ReplyDeleteMy heart and prayers go out to the family!!!
The first thing I thought when I heard the news of the little angel swept away was how sad.... the little girl's family will have to live with this forever... so sad....
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side, love your pictures. The view, the fire pit, the interesting little solo gate. Nice follow up to the food in Monday's post. Have a very happy day today, and hugs to Lucca and Pickle..... xoxo
So sad and yet those images are so poignant. Debra you have an art of capturing such feeling.
ReplyDeleteIs very sad about the little girl passing away! I'm very familiar with these type of tragedies being from Miami. Thank you for stopping by my blog. I'm glad you enjoyed Anne's hometown tour.
ReplyDeleteHow tragic - Can't imagine anything harder than losing a child.
ReplyDeleteDespite that, hope your weekend was lovely. How fun to have an old friend like your 'sea glass' friend -to get together with someone who knows your entire history! I love friends like that.
How sad! I have been to that exact beautiful spot while visiting my boyfriend's family cottage. I will keep the family in my prayers. Have a wonderful sea-glassing trip, Debra!
