This weekend my son and his family are moving from Massachusetts to Maine-just two towns away!
I will be helping with unpacking, organizing and child watching-I'm so excited.
So, I leave you with this delicious chocolate image. It has absolutely nothing to do with the weekend or the move. But I have been craving something rich, dense and chocolate.
Cut yourself a nice thick slice, pour a cup of coffee or make some tea.

Debra: I'm so happy for you. From the way you write, family is so very important, and now they will be living near to you. It will be great for you to see and play with your grandchildren! I'm happy for you! And I'd love a slice of chocolate cake, thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to have family moving closer rather than farther. And while I'm not a chocolate fan, that cake looks fabulous! (I'm picturing it as gingerbread!) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDelete-Oh and I CANNOT believe Christmas Eve is 2 months away!!!
Yum! I love chocolate cake and chocolate "anything" also gingerbread as commented above by Southern Aspirations.... don't work too hard!! Hope the sun is shining!! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteYou must be on cloud 9 having your son and his family moving closer to you! My parents would go through the roof with excitment if I ever returned closer to home.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I think this image has a lot to do with your post because it is the perfect little something to 'welcome' a new neighbor to town (or a housewarming)!
Oh, I'm so happy for you! I wish I could move back to Maine permanently. Have a wonderful weekend!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is very exciting news indeed Debra! I wish a few of our kids would do the same, but apparently there's no likelihood of that happening before Hell Freezes Over according to all of them!!! 'No club scene there Mum, why would we want to come back!' Makes perfect sense to me - NOT!
ReplyDeleteMillie ^_^
We had a wonderful chocolate cake last night in honor of my sister-in-law and her birthday! Cheers to the movers and shakers!
ReplyDeleteHappy moving day! (to your son and daughter in law and children!)

Debra, recipe please. I am so happy your son is staying nearby!
ReplyDeleteThat is just wonderful and I am so pleased for you. More than beautiful Maine, I'm sure they're happy to be near you.
ReplyDeleteI am emailing you soon, but will give you a couple of days rest after the big move!
Chocolate orange, mmm.
you are such a sweetheart!
ReplyDeletei am SO happy for you, having your family so much closer ... just think of all the chocolate cakes and tea you will be sharing more often!
cheers to you and yours ~
