Pumpkin Carving~

~Beautiful Pumpkin Carvings~
Our pumpkin this year is much more traditional- Jack-o-lantern style. Made for a much happier occasion because Erin was here to assist Pop-pop as 'Jack' watched from the sidelines.
Do you carve a pumpkin for Halloween? There are some pretty fantastic carvings out there- very ornate. When there is a 4 year old and a one year old involved, you choose the shortest distance between pumpkin and Jack-o-lantern!

  3. I remember my boys carving pumpkins at the table in their booster seats and fretting over their every move, but I think we all learn from doing so I hope Erin had a great lesson with her "Pop pop and Mimi"

  10. There are some amazing carved pumpkins these days. I'm with you though, and keeping the carving simple. My three boys each design & carve one (usually I end up doing the carving) -and we always have a great time. One strange tradition we do with our pumpkins is- the week after Halloween- we take the pumpkins to a nearby field and blow them up with firecrackers!! This is my husband's addition to tradition!!:)

Have a wonderful Halloween with your little ones.

  11. Deborah,

Those are great designs... That's one thing I so enjoy seeing is how people take the time to carve their pumpkins. Thanks for the inspiration...
    Best,
